Today I’m going to discuss 5 Facts about Atrial Fibrillation.
Atrial Fibrillation is an abnormal heart rhythm.
It effects the upper chambers of the heart known as the atria.
It causes abnormal contraction of the heart muscle which results in diminished blood flow, potentially causing the formation of a clot, which can then be transported to the brain and cause a stroke.
Atrial Fibrillation can also result in Heart Failure.
Patients with Atrial Fibrillation may not notice any symptoms or they may have an irregular pulse.
